Our J-folds are printed on transparency and placed over the original tape's J-fold, creating a palimpsest that is unique to each individual tape

Over three years in the making, Michael Gross's Songs for a Conspiratorial Thereness represents the artist's first solo release in as much time. Centered around the synthesizer, the album also sees Gross experimenting with a host of other instruments, both electric and acoustic. With an ear attentive to delicate textures and intricate layers, Gross composes a series of wonderfully complex worlds of prismatic sound. In the words of one reviewer (Misty Steppe, describing the album's second track):

"A harmonious colony of farmer ants are working all the live-long day as gigantic droplets of rain rhythmously burst atop the canopy of daffodils above. We enter their nest and discover their senators arguing new legislation for sustainable aphid domestication."
